Description

TZM alloy, also known as Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum alloy, is a high-temperature material commonly used in aerospace and defense applications, particularly in environments where extreme temperatures and mechanical stresses are present. The alloy typically consists of about 0.5% titanium, 0.08% zirconium, and 0.02% carbon, with the remainder being molybdenum. The addition of titanium and zirconium improves the alloy's strength and resistance to softening at high temperatures, while molybdenum provides excellent creep resistance and stability. Due to its superior properties, TZM alloy is often chosen over other materials like pure molybdenum for demanding applications where performance under extreme conditions is critical. The density of TZM alloy is approximately 10.22 g/cm^3. The hardness of TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) alloy typically ranges between 220 and 300 on the Vickers hardness scale (HV). Melting Point: TZM alloy has a high melting point, around 2,623°C (4,753°F). Thermal Conductivity: The thermal conductivity of TZM alloy is relatively high, aiding in its ability to conduct and dissipate heat effectively. Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: The coefficient of thermal expansion for TZM alloy is typically low, which means it expands minimally when subjected to temperature changes. Electrical Conductivity: TZM alloy is a poor conductor of electricity. Mechanical Properties: TZM alloy exhibits high tensile strength and excellent creep resistance at elevated temperatures. Hardness: TZM alloy is relatively hard and maintains its structural integrity under high-stress conditions. Machinability: TZM alloy is generally difficult to machine due to its hardness and toughness. Corrosion Resistance: TZM alloy offers good corrosion resistance, making it suitable for use in aggressive environments. Magnetic Properties: TZM alloy is typically non-magnetic. Chemical Composition of Tzm Alloy-Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum Molybdenum, Mo 99.38 - 99.41 % Titanium, Ti 0.5 % Zirconium, Zr 0.08 % Carbon, C 0.010-0.040 % Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum Round bar are easily available with us . TZM Alloy rods are available in different Diameters , Length and Finish. TZM Round bar are superior than Molybdenum alloy rod.
